Omaha's mentoring sector is teaming up with Omaha Public Schools, Food Bank for the Heartland, and the Omaha Police Department to distribute food packages to families in need. We are looking for volunteers to help assemble food packages and distribute them through a drive-up process where families pull up and volunteers load their car with the food packages. To help prevent the spread of germs during the pandemic, we will minimize contact as much as possible. Families will not get out of their cars and volunteers will wear latex gloves and masks. Gloves will be provided, but please bring your own mask! Since the distribution is all outside, you will want to make sure you are dressed appropriately for the weather. An email will be sent to you 1-2 days before your shift with location details.
