Our Members

Commitment to Quality

MENTOR Nebraska serves as a non-partisan, private nonprofit organization that galvanizes our statewide mentoring movement. Our team provides the leadership and infrastructure necessary to support the expansion of quality mentoring relationships. As a designated MENTOR Affiliate, we inform and distribute national research and resources to mentoring programs across the state.

We provide the following no-cost services to help our members connect more young people to quality and safe mentoring relationships:

  • Training for staff and mentors
  • Consulting and technical assistance
  • Background checks for all new mentors
  • Pass-through grants
  • Data collection and case management system
  • Access to statewide mentor recruitment activities

Membership Opportunities

In 2023, we unveiled an updated membership structure which includes two membership levels:

  • CERTIFIED PARTNER - This membership level, formerly Tier 1, offers benefits that recognize mentoring field leadership and commitment to adherence to nationally recognized best practice standards.
  • PARTNER - This membership level, formerly Tier 2, is defined with benefits and requirements focused on capacity building.

Certified Partners

Certified Partners have demonstrated they are utilizing research-based mentoring practices in their programs. They participate in statewide data collection efforts and complete the National Quality Mentoring System (NQMS) assessment every three years. MENTOR Nebraska provides these programs with our highest level of benefits and no-cost services. Certified Partners must adhere to annual membership agreement guidelines to be eligible for ongoing benefits.

The Partner membership level is defined with benefits and requirements with a focus on capacity building. The goal of the majority of Partner level members is to work towards becoming a Certified Partner with these supports and resources.
